President Cheered at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait: Meets Ambassador Crocker and General Petraeus
More than 3,000 U.S. troops gave a resounding welcome to their Commander-in-Chief on Saturday, January 12, when President Bush addressed the troops at Camp Arifjan, home to the U.S. Third Army. In his remarks to the servicemen and women, the President reminded the crowd of the Third Army’s service in World War II. “History will say, when you were called upon, you served, and the service you rendered was absolutely necessary to defeat the enemy overseas so that we do not have to face them at home,” he said to cheers from the troops.
