American Educational Fair in Kuwait

Kuwaiti students and their parents had the unique opportunity to talk about educational opportunities in the United States with recruiters from 30 American colleges and universities on November 5 at the Marina Hotel in Salmiya.  The educational fair was organized by the U.S. Educational Fair Group in conjunction with AMIDEAST and the American Embassy.  Recruiters were on hand to promote study at their respective institutions and to provide information about degree programs, admission standards and financial aid opportunities.  American Embassy staff attended the fair to answer students’ and parents’ questions about studying in the U.S. and to provide visa information.

Chargé d’Affaires Alan Misenheimer at the American Embassy thanked the many American recruiters who traveled to be in Kuwait for the event.  “The presence of these recruiters speaks to the great interest that American colleges and universities have in attracting Arab and Muslim students to their campuses,” he said.  “Kuwaiti students and their parents should know that they will be welcomed in the United States,” he added.
