American University Recruiters Visit Kuwait

Recruiters from several American colleges and universities answered questions from Kuwaiti students and their parents about educational opportunities in the United States on October 30, 2007 at the Marina Hotel in Salmiya.  The three-hour educational fair was organized by the Linden Education Services in conjunction with AMIDEAST and the American Embassy.  Recruiters were on hand to promote study at their respective institutions and to provide information about degree programs, admission standards and financial aid opportunities.  American Embassy staff were also present at the fair to answer students’ and parents’ questions about studying in the U.S. and visa information.

Chargé D’Affairs Alan Misenheimer delivering remarks

Chargé D’Affairs Alan Misenheimer at the American Embassy thanked the many American recruiters who traveled to be in Kuwait for the fair.  “I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the many college recruiters from the United States who are represented here today. Your dedication to expanding the number of foreign students studying at your university is demonstrated by your presence here in Kuwait at this education fair.  The willingness to travel so far is a clear indication of your commitment to enriching the student life on your various campuses,” he said.
