Gulf University for Science and Technology Hosts DVC with Professor Clyde Wilcox
On November 13, 2008, Kuwait Public Affairs Section arranged a DVC at the Gulf University for Science and Technology on the aftermath of the U.S. Presidential Elections with Dr. Clyde Wilcox, from the Department of Government at Georgetown University.
Dr. Wilcox spoke about the different campaign strategies undertaken by the two candidates, the dissimilarity of the Vice Presidential nominees, voters’ trends and their preferences, and on the state of the economy and how it will become the most important issue on the presidential agenda.
Over fifty students from the American Government class of Professor Mohammed Hasanen attended the DVC, and many asked various questions that also centered on Iran, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Guantanamo and Iraq. Professor Wilcox proved to be an excellent speaker and we look forward to hosting another DVC with him in the near future.
