U.S. Embassy Participates in the 34th annual Kuwait Book Fair
U.S. Embassy Kuwait is participating in the 34th annual Kuwait Book Fair, which brings together publishing houses from all across the region and from both public and private Kuwaiti institutions. The fair, which began on October 28 and is set to run until November 7, 2009, allows the U.S. Embassy to make available to the Kuwaiti public a number of publications, including brochures and DVDs in Arabic about study in the U.S., as well as books on American literature, government and history. Several renowned works of American literature for both adults and children are also offered in translation.
U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait Deborah K. Jones attended the Book Fair’s Opening Ceremony to emphasize the strong mutually beneficial and constructive relationship between America and Kuwait, encourage study in the U.S., and to expand awareness of America’s contribution to political, economic, social and cultural thought.
